Originally studying Kinesiology in university, I quickly transferred to the Business Faculty and graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelors of Business Administration and a Concentration in Accounting. Immediately from university I began working at a national accounting firm in Vancouver where I successfully wrote the UFE in September 2012 and obtained my designation in July 2013.
After more than 6 years in public practice I decided to try the move to industry where I was employed by private international companies including a fashion retailer that did everything from product design to customer care in-house, as well as a construction and development company with various divisions including property development, highway maintenance, telecommunications infrastructure, airline transportation and tug and barge services. I pride myself in knowing the ins and outs of many industries with a focus in financial reporting and taxation and excelling in them all.
In September of 2018 I decided to come back to Kingston and have come back to public practice at Collins Blay where I find there is more challenge servicing a broader range of industries with a more local focus thus making my work product more rewarding.
