I was Collins Blay’s first placement student from St. Lawrence College in Kingston in April 1995. I graduated from the three year Business Administration – Accounting Program and received the Lapointe Tierney Simpson Award for high level of achievement. Following my placement, I was asked to stay on for a couple of weeks and then offered a full-time position as a Junior Accounting Technician.
I progressed to Senior Accounting Technician over the years and received experience ranging from bookkeeping to auditing. I have worked with sole proprietors, private corporations, charities and not-for-profit organizations.
Over the years, I have volunteered as a Sunday School teacher, served on church committees, co-chaired on a finance committee and served as a Board member for an athletic club.
I was promoted to Manager in January 2016. I enjoy training new staff and reviewing files and tax returns as well as maintaining positive client relationships while being a resource for the firm and clients.
