I’m a transplanted Montrealer who settled in the Kingston area after a number of years out on Canada’s west coast. I’m happy to say that this area is now home. While living in Montreal, I attended McGill University, where I obtained my Bachelor of Music (Distinction in Trumpet), and Concordia University, where I obtained my Bachelor of Commerce (Great Distinction). I worked for a number of years with major public accounting firms and public corporations in both Montreal and Vancouver before deciding to devote my efforts to helping smaller businesses with their accounting and tax needs. I operated my own accounting practice in the area before joining Collins Blay in 2007. It’s been my privilege to serve our firm’s clients since then.
I am an income tax and GST/HST specialist, having completed CPA Canada’s In-depth Income Tax and GST programs. My work involves assisting individuals and businesses meet their tax compliance obligations while advising them on available planning opportunities. I aid a broad range of our clients in many different industries.
I’ve been delighted to work with the talented group of professionals here at Collins Blay. Being a CPA is challenging, but I love a challenge. My colleagues make the challenge that much more manageable. And the effort is all worth it when I see the smile on a client’s face after I could help them work through a particularly difficult tax problem.
